Ooops. Missed one.

I missed an update! Last week I went with a friend from work who has a lot more experience than I. It was the usual mix of difficulties, but centring around a set of climbs I hadn’t done before. I didn’t do as well as I usually do, but learnt some stuff, including some terms such as flagging. My friend, who does a lot more bouldering than I have, was demonstrating how when bouldering I should be twisting and moving my knees more to generate height and leverage. I can see why, but was finding it hard to do! This week was a bit more of a wash out. The ‘adult club’ wasn’t on due to the team being knackered from sorting out problems caused by the local flooding we’ve had here, so my housemate and I just climbed together. I was utterly unmotivated and crap though and we flaked out very quickly when I couldn’t really get off the floor on a 6a 🙁 Rubbish! I cheered up a bit when I got shown a new route on the bouldering wall which relied on some bridging and twisting. Didn’t quite do it, but learnt a bit. I reckon I’ll be able to do it next week.
